Stepping Into A Hope-Filled Future

STEPPING INTO A HOPE-FILLED FUTURE

1 Samuel 16:7(NLT) – But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearances, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Jeremiah 29:11(NLT) – For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

GOD HAS A GOOD PLAN FOR MY LIFE!

Isaiah 49:15-16 - Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands.

How do we step into the hope-filled future Jesus has purposed for us?

1. STEP OUT OF THE PAST

1 Samuel 16:1 – Now the Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have provided Myself a king among his sons.”

1 Samuel 13:14 – But now your kingdom shall not continue, the Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart.

Ecclesiastes 3:4 – A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

I believe the Holy Spirit is saying, “It’s a new season, it’s time to go forward.”

Fill your horn with oil and go forward!

Leave the pain of your past and step into a hope-filled future in Jesus’ Name!

2. STEP UP TO GOD’S PERSPECTIVE

Ephesians 1:18 – The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe.

1 Samuel 16:7 – But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

1 Samuel 16:11 – And Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all the young men here?” then he said, “There remains the youngest, and there he is keeping the sheep.”

Youngest – Small, unimportant, insignificant

No one is insignificant or unimportant in the Kingdom of God!

1 Samuel 16:12 – And the Lord said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one.”

3. STEP INTO GOD’S ANOINTING

1 Samuel 16:13 – Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward.

The Spirit came upon him mightily, with power.

David is anointed with the Holy Spirit!

The anointing of the Holy Spirit is the power of God coming upon the people of God equipping them to fulfill the calling of God on their life.

What God calls us to do He will equip us to do.

We need to step into the anointing of the Holy Spirit that is upon our lives!

1 John 2:20 – But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.

LORD, I STEP INTO YOUR ANOINTING FOR MY LIFE IN JESUS’ NAME!
