2020-08-09 | RECOVER ALL

1 Samuel 30:8 – So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them? And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

Exodus 19:5 – Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is mine.

1 Samuel 30:19 – And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they have taken from them; David recovered all.

John 10:10 – The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Recovery is possible in Jesus Christ!

1.      BELIEVE THE WORD OF GOD

David believed the Word of the Lord.

Pastor Brian Zahnd – You must be convinced that God wants you to recover.

Luke 19:10 – For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.

By the power of the blood of Jesus, by the grace of God, we can experience recovery and restoration.

In God’s recovery, life will not be just as it was before, it will ultimately be better than it was before.

Psalm 30:5 – Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

Psalm 30:11 – You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness.

Isaiah 61:3 – To give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

Mark 5:36 – Do not be afraid; only believe.

2.      STAND IN YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST

David knew who he was.

If we are to recover all, we must stand in our identity in Christ in the midst of the storm.

Pastor Brian Zahnd – Don’t let your personal tragedy or failure define your identity.

Pastor Brian Zahnd – You may have been victimized, but you are not a perpetual victim. You may have suffered, but you are not a loser. You may have failed, but you are not a failure.

The Holy Spirit wants to remind us of who we are in Christ.

In Christ – We are more than conquerors.  Romans 8:37

In Christ – We can do all things through Him who gives us strength.  Philippians 4:13

In Christ – We are accepted and adopted by our Heavenly Father.  Ephesians 1:5-6

In Christ – We have purpose, calling, and destiny.  Ephesians 2:10

In Christ – We are always led in triumph. 2 Corinthians 2:14

In Christ – We are never alone.   Matthew 28:20

3.      DECLARE WITH YOUR MOUTH WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART

2 Corinthians 4:13 – And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “ I believed and therefore I spoke”, we also believe and therefore speak.

Faith believes with the heart and declares with the mouth.

Matthew 12:34 – For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

Job 22:28 – You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways.

Ephesians 3:20 – Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

LORD, I BELIEVE YOU WILL BRING RESTORATION AND RECOVERY INTO MY LIFE.

Che Ahn 17 years old, “Hey man, I found what we’re all looking for! I found the truth, I found Jesus!”

LORD, I BELIEVE YOU WILL BRING RESTORATION AND RECOVERY INTO MY LIFE.

LORD, I BELIEVE YOU WILL BRING RESTORATION AND RECOVERY INTO OTHERS THROUGH MY LIFE.
