2020-08-16 | BE STILL GO FORWARD
1. Stand Firm
Exodus 14:13a(MSG) - Moses spoke to the people: “Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and watch God do his work of salvation for you today.
Exodus 14:13b-14 – For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
Adapted from Walter C. Kiser
1. Do not be afraid
2. Stand firm
3. Hold peace
“Any aspect of your life that doesn’t glisten with hope is believing a lie and that lie is a stronghold of the devil” -adapted from Francis Frangipane by Steve Backlund
Don’t mistake the safety of the same for being still in God’s peace.
Jossy Chacko on risk: “You need to see risk as your friend to love, not your enemy to be feared.”
Jossy Chacko on risk: “You must see comfort and safety as your enemies.”
2. Go forward in faith
Exodus 14:15-16 And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
To go forward in faith we must go low.
Isaiah 63:14 – As a beast goes down into the valley, And the Spirit of the Lord causes him to rest, So You lead Your people, To make Yourself a glorious name.
You are critical to kingdom advancement, but your comfort is not!
Hebrews 11:29 – By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so drowned.
