VISION FOR 2025

Each fall, our staff and elders set aside time to fast and pray, seeking the Lord’s direction for the upcoming year. Last fall, we experienced a beautiful time of fellowship and prayer in the presence of the Lord. By the end of our time together, we realized that what we had just experienced was a picture of what God desires to do in our church body in 2025. As part of this process, we always ask the Lord for a short statement that captures the themes on His heart for us. This year, we received:

2025 Vision: Relational Discipleship

“Building deeper connections with the Lord and people”

Throughout this year, we’ve been teaching on both relational discipleship and Christian community—the context in which relational discipleship takes place. We believe the Lord is strategically directing us to focus on building deeper connections among His people.

Already this year, we’ve launched small groups for middle school, high school, young adults, and adults! We recognize that it’s not possible to journey into maturity in the Lord in isolation. We need each other to live out the directives and “one another” commands found in the Word. So many of God’s works—including healing (James 5:16)—are designed to be carried out in the context of the community of faith.

As we build a deeper connection with the Lord, it should naturally lead us to build deeper connections with others. And as we grow in connection with both God and people, we will naturally draw others into deeper relationship with the Lord as well.
