Five reasons to believe that God is for us:

1. BECAUSE THE WORD DECLARES IT.

Romans 8:31

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Psalm 56:9

When I cry out to You, then my enemies will turn back; this I know, because God is for me.

2. BECAUSE FATHER GOD GAVE HIS ONLY SON TO SHOW US.

Romans 8:32

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

Genesis 22:2

Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you.”

Genesis 22:8a

And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering.”

Genesis 22:13

Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.

3. BECAUSE WE ARE JUSTIFIED THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST.

Romans 8:33

Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.

Romans 3:23-24

For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

Justified – Declared Righteous

Justified – Just as if I’d never sinned.

The enemy is the accuser of the brethren, but Jesus is our Advocate before the Father!

Redemption – A conquering King setting prisoners free.

4. BECAUSE IN CHRIST, WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER CONDEMNATION

Romans 8:34

Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Romans 8:2

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

5. BECAUSE OF WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST.

Romans 8:35

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Romans 8:36

As it is written: for Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Romans 8:37

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

6. IN CHRIST WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS!

Romans 8:38-39
