The Essentials of Becoming Fishers of Men
Evangelism begins with a person being absolutely sure that they love God and God loves them.
“I have loved you just as the Father has loved Me; remain in my love [and do not doubt My love for you].”
John 15:9 AMP
“He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me [with a deep, personal affection for Me, as for a close friend]?” Peter was grieved that He asked him the third time, “Do you [really] love Me [with a deep, personal affection, as for a close friend]?” And he said to Him, “Lord, you know everything; You know that I love You [with a deep, personal affection, as for a close friend].” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.
John 21:17

Follow Jesus
1. If you love God and are sure of his love for you, you will follow him.
Be Discipled
2. Go to Jesus daily, fellowship, and be disciplined
Disciple Others
3. Teach the gospel, lead others to Jesus, baptize them, heal the sick, cast out demons, and help the poor.
Evangelism is about heartfelt conversations
“There was a time in my life when…”
Think of two words that describe your life before Christ.
Think of two words that describe what Christ did for you.
Think of two words to describe your life after Christ.
End with a question: Do you have a story like that?
1. God’s Design: God’s original plan – Joy, peace, and harmony.
2. Brokenness: pain, guilt, and separation from God. We acknowledge the need for redemption.
3. Gospel: share that God, in His love, sent Jesus to rescue us from sin and brokenness.
QUESTIONS TO CONNECT:
“Have you ever been in love?”
“Have you ever been hurt?”
“Who loves you the most?”
“Who is the most important person to you?”
