6.12.2024 | VESSELS OF HEALING FOR THE GLORY OF GOD

1. Believe the Promise of the Word of God

Mark 16:17-18

And these signs shall follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

2. Receive the Authority and Power Delegated to us as a Believer in Jesus Christ.

Luke 9:1

Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases.

Power – dunamis – miracle working power – Acts 1:8

Authority – exousia – authority over the powers of darkness – Luke 10:19

Luke 9:2

He sent them to preach the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Luke 9:6

So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.

3. Offer yourself to be a Delivery Person for the Kingdom of God.

2 Corinthians 4:7

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

4. Practical Steps in Ministering to the Sick

A. Ask the person wanting to be prayed for: what is your name? How long have you had this condition? Was there any trauma in your life when this started?

Mark 9:21

So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.”

B. Choose the prayer method (prayer of petition or command)

C. Ask after prayer or even during prayer what they are sensing, or how they are feeling?

Mark 8:22

Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him and begged Him to touch him.

Mark 8:23

So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of town. And when He had spit on His eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.

Mark 8:24

And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.”

Mark 8:25

Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.

5. Post Prayer Encouragement

A. Keep believing – even if there is no change that is seen or felt. Some healings are progressive.

2 Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

B. Keep reading the Word

Romans 10:17

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God

C. Keep praising and thanking God

Hebrews 13:15

Therefore, by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

D. Keep standing against doubt and the powers of darkness.

James 4:7

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
