WALK IN INCREASED ANOINTING
We need an increased anointing to effectively advance the Kingdom of God!
Jesus wants us to walk in greater authority and power for His Glory!
Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV)
So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts.”
How do we walk in an increased anointing?
1. Remember Who We Are
We are sons and daughters of the Most High God.
We have a delegated authority from heaven through faith in Jesus Christ.
Elijah knew who he was and what he was called to do.
Elijah walked in the power and authority of the Lord at a very high level.
2 Kings 1:9
Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty men. So he went up to him; and there he was sitting on the top of a hill. And he spoke to him: “Man of God, the king has said, ‘Come down!’”
2 Kings 1:10
So Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, “If I am a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men.” And fire came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.
2. Remember Whose We Are
We are not our own; we have been bought with a price. (1 Corinthians 6:20)
We belong to Jesus Christ. He is Lord!
The phrase, “No, Lord” is a contradiction in terms.
Our calling is to represent Jesus Christ in the earth.
We want His heart for lost people.
Luke 9:54
And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?”
Luke 9:55-56
But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village.

3. Seek the Lord with All Your Heart
Jeremiah 29:13
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
We want all that the Lord has for us.
Elisha’s request before Elijah left was for a double portion!
2 Kings 2:9
I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.”
The double portion is the inherited portion for the first-born son.
Jesus is the first born of many brethren. (Romans 8:29)
John 3:34
For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.
2 Kings 2:10
So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.”
Genesis 32:26b
But he said, “I will not let you go unless You bless me.”
4. Step Out in Faith
2 Kings 2:13
He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan.
2 Kings 2:14
Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elijah crossed over.
The anointing of the Holy Spirit increases as we step out in faith!
As we step out, His anointing steps in.
Faith hears God. Faith believes God. Faith obeys God!
Hebrews 11:7a
By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household.
Hebrews 11:8
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
