WISDOM – YOUR DIVINE ADVANTAGE

a)     What is Wisdom?

Sophia is the Greek word for Wisdom. It means clarity, and implies insight, skill, and intelligence.

 

b)     Accessing Wisdom

James 1:5 – “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

  • Praying in the Spirit

Romans 8:26-27 – “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.  And He who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.”

  • Reading and meditating on the Word of God

  • Praying in the Spirit

  • Being in fellowship with people that love God and hold His Word in high esteem

  • Godly wisdom pleases the Father (1 Kings 3:5-14)

  • Godly wisdom protects you

  • Godly wisdom gives you peace

  • Godly wisdom gives you direction
