EVERY BELIEVER CAN WALK IN THE MIRACULOUS
1 Corinthians 12:9-10a (KJV) – “To another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles.”
The gifts of the Spirit fall into three categories:
a. The power to speak; vocal gifts – tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy
b. The power to know; revelatory gifts – words of wisdom, words of knowledge, discerning of spirits
c. The power to do; power gifts – faith, healings, miracles
The gifts of the Spirit can flow through any yielded believer at any time to meet any need in Jesus’ Name.
1. The Gift of Faith
Saving Faith
Ephesians 2:8 (NKJV) – “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.”
Walking By Faith
2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV) – “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
In the world, seeing is believing; in the Kingdom of God, believing by faith leads to seeing.
The Gift of Faith; Mountain-Moving Faith; Miracle Faith; Supernatural Faith
1 Corinthians 13:2 – “And though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”
What is faith?
Faith is believing God and His Word.
Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV) – “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for He who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
Mark 11:22 (NKJV) – “So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Have faith in God.’”
Mark 11:23 (NKJV) – “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”
We declare with our mouth what the Holy Spirit has spoken into our hearts.
Mark 4:39 (NKJV) – “Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!’ And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.”
2. The Gift of Miracles
Miracle – A divine intervention of God in the natural world
Miracle – Dunamis, miraculous power
Acts 1:8a (NKJV) – “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.”
The gift of faith and the working of miracles flow together.
John 14:12 (NKJV) – “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”
Acts 19:11-12 (NKJV) – “Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them, and the evil spirits went out of them.”
3. The Gifts of Healings
Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV) – “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
Jesus is the Healer. We are simply the person who delivers the gift.
“Any believer can pray for the sick and see them healed by the power of Jesus.” – Dennis Bennett
“God wants His people to be whole in spirit, soul, and body.” – Dennis Bennett
“A sure evidence that God wants to do something is when you are moved with compassion.” – Derek Prince
“As healings and miracles take place, we want to be sure and give God all the glory.” – Dennis Bennett
4. What Holds Us Back from Flowing In The Miraculous?
a. An incorrect view of Scripture – the belief that miracles ended with the apostles.
b. An incorrect view of God – it is His will that I am sick.
c. An incorrect view of ourselves – I am not worthy to pray for the sick.
