How can Jesus work through imperfect people like us?
1. SAY YES TO THE KING
Luke 19:31 – “And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ Thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.”
We are qualified by the Blood of Jesus Christ.
Colossians 1:12 – “Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.”
Colossians 1:13 – “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love.”
Colossians 1:14 – “In Whom we have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of sins.”
“Can you imagine that God would speak to such a person as me?” – Mr. Shenifield
2. GIVE PRAISE TO THE KING
John 12:13 – “They took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out: ‘Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! The King of Israel!’”
Luke 19:37 – “Then, as He was drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen.”
Luke 19:39 – “And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, ‘Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.’”
Luke 19:40 – “But He answered and said to them, ‘I tell you that if these stones should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.’”
Psalm 22:3 – “But You are Holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.”
Psalm 100:4 – “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.”
3. SURRENDER TO THE KING
2 Corinthians 3:18 – “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
Let my heart be broken for the things that break the heart of Christ.
Luke 19:41 – “Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it.”
Luke 19:42 – “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace.”
Luke 19:44b – “You did not know the time of your visitation.”
