John 7:37-38
On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
John 7:39
But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

1. THIRST
John 7:37a
On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirst,”
Matthew 5:6
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.
Psalm 63:1-2
O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory.
2. COME TO JESUS
John 7:37b
If anyone thirsts, let Him come to Me and drink.
A. We come to Jesus as our Savior, for forgiveness and cleansing.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
B. We come to Jesus as Lord of our lives.
Colossians 2:6
As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.
C. We come to Jesus the Baptizer with the Holy Spirit
Luke 11:11-12
If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Of if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he give him a scorpion?
Luke 11:13
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him.
3. DRINK
John 7:37b
If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
Drinking is believing and receiving.
2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by faith, not by sight.

You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Ezekiel 47:9b
And everything will live wherever the river goes.
Steps to Fullness
A. Receive Jesus as Savior.
B. Surrender to Jesus as Lord.
C. Come to Jesus the Baptizer and ask to be filled.

Are you thirsty for more of God in your life? Why or why not?
What would be some of the hinderances in your life that are holding back the living waters of the Holy Spirit?
Are you willing to consecrate to the Lord every hinderance and every disappointment?
What is the biggest fear in your life when it comes to being filled with the Spirit and flowing in the river of the Spirit?
Are you willing to release that fear to the Lord and step forward in faith?
