1. What happens to a believer the moment they take their last breath on earth?

2 Corinthians 5:8 – “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
Philippians 1:21 – “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
Philippians 1:22 – “But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell.”
Philippians 1:23 – “For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.”
Luke 1:42 – “Then he said to Jesus, ‘Lord remember me when you come into Your kingdom.’”
Luke 1:43 – “And Jesus said to him, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.’”
2 Corinthians 12:2 – “I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago - whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows - such a one was caught up to the third heaven.”
2 Corinthians 12:4 – “How he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.”
2. What is Heaven like? What will we experience when we get there?
The book of Revelation gives us a glimpse into the glory of Heaven.
Seven Things That Will Not Be in Heaven:
a. Sickness, sorrow, crying and pain will not be there.
Revelation 21:4 – “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
b. Death will not be there.
Revelation 21:4 – “There shall be no more death.”
c. The devil will not be there.
Revelation 19:10 – “The devil who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.”
d. Sin will not be there.
Revelation 21:27 – “But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles or causes abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lambs Book of Life.”
e. Lack and poverty will not be there.
Revelation 22:2 – “In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of Life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”
Revelation 22:3 – “And there shall be no more curse.”
f. Racial prejudice will not be there.
Revelation 7:9 – “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.'“
g. Unbelievers will not be there.
Revelation 20:15 – “And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Seven Things That Will Be in Heaven:
a. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit will be there.
Revelation 22:1 – “And He showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.”
b. Angels will be there.
Revelation 5:11 – “Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands.”
c. Worship will be there.
Revelation 4:8 – “The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying, ‘Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.’”
d. Service will be there.
Revelation 22:3 – “And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.”
e. The Glory of God will be there.
Revelation 21:23 – “The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.”
f. Community and unity will be there.
Revelation 21:24 – “And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.”
g. Believers will be there.
Revelation 21:7 – “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.”
3. How do we know we are going to heaven?
Acts 16:31 – “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
1 John 5:11 – “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.”
1 John 5:12 – “He who has the Son, has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”
1 John 5:13 – “These things I have written to you who believe in the Name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the Name of the Son of God.”
