Every Believer – More Than A Conqueror

Do Nike Air Jordans help us defeat sin, the enemy, and the world?

Romans 8:37 declares that we are more than conquerors.

Hupernikao – super victorious, more than a conqueror, to have an overwhelming victory

Is this victory in our own strength or power?

Romans 8:37 – No, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Romans 8:37 (NLT) – No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us.

How do we walk in the victory that is ours in Christ?

1. Be Born Again 

1 John 5:4 – For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.

To be born of God is to be born again.

John 3:3 – Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.’

1 John 5:5 – Who is he who overcomes the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

John 1:12 – But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His Name.

REPENT + BELIEVE + RECEIVE = BECOME A CHILD OF GOD

2. Walk by Faith 

1 John 5:4 – And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.

Faith is believing God and His Word.

Billy Graham – “God said it in His Word, I believe it in my heart, that settles it in my mind.”

1 John 5:12 – He who has the Son has life, he who does have the Son of God does not have life.

2 Corinthians 5:7 – For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Walking by faith is riding the Faith Train.

3. Declare the Power of the Blood

Revelation 12:11 – And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Derek Prince – “We declare with our mouths what God has declared in His Word.”

The blood of Jesus Christ forgives me. (Ephesians 1:7)

The blood of Jesus Christ redeems me. (Ephesians 1:7)

The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses me from sin. (I John 1:7)

The blood of Jesus Christ delivers me. (Colossians 1:13)

The blood of Jesus Christ opens to door into the Father’s Presence. (Hebrews 10:19)

5. Surrender Every Area of Our Lives to Jesus Christ

Revelation 12:11 – And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony and they did not love their lives to the death.

Are there areas of our lives we have not yet surrendered to Jesus Christ?

What we keep under our own control, will not be an area of victory.
