Hospitality

Literal meaning of hospitality is to love strangers, or to be friendly to strangers.

Spirit Filled Life Bible: Hospitality is the fruit of a transformed, Spirit-filled life. It is showing an interest in others and giving ourselves to loving and supporting them as God does us.

Proverbs 15:13(MSG) – A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face; a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day.

Matthew 25:35-36(ESV) – For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’

Say yes to God’s Call

Romans 12:13(NLT) – When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.

Start with a smile

1 Peter 4:9(NKJV) – Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.

Look for more than you can do

Hebrews 13:2(NLT) – Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it.
