The Power Of Forgiveness

THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS

Ephesians 4:32(TPT) – But instead be kind and affectionate toward one another. Has God graciously forgiven you? Then graciously forgive one another in the depths of Christ’s love.

CELEBRATE, GOD FORGIVES

Matthew 18:27(TPT) – Upon hearing his pleas, the king had compassion on his servant, and released him, and forgave his entire debt.

Our God is a God of extravagant forgiveness and grace.

He wants us to forgive each other as He has forgiven us.

Matthew 18:21 – Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

Matthew 18:22 – Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”

Matthew 18:28(NLT) – But when the man left the king, he went to a fellow servant who owed him a few thousand dollars. He grabbed him by the throat and demanded instant payment.

Matthew 18:30(NLT) – But his creditor wouldn’t wait. He had the man arrested and put in prison until the debt could be paid in full.

When we don’t forgive, it builds walls between us and each other and between us and our Heavenly Father.

WE FORGIVE

Ephesians 4:32(TPT) – But instead be kind and affectionate toward one another. Has God graciously forgiven you? Then graciously forgive one another in the depths of Christ’s love.

Roots of Bitterness – Loss, Grief, Shame, Self-Protection, Fear of Repeat(reinjury), Revenge, Desire for Justice(they owe me), Betrayal, Pain

2 Corinthians 10:3-4(TPT) – For although we live in the natural realm, we don’t wage a military campaign employing human weapons, using manipulation to achieve our aims. Instead, our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defenses behind which people hide.

2 Corinthians 10:5(TPT) – We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.

BE AN AGENT OF FORGIVENESS!!
