Lion Of Judah

THE LION OF JUDAH

Revelation 5:5(NLT) – But one of the twenty four elders said to me, “Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne, has won the victory. He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.

The apostle John was sent to an island prison in the Aegean Sea because of his faith in Jesus Christ.

Revelation 1:9(NLT) – I was exiled to the island of Patmos for preaching the Word of God and for my testimony about Jesus.

On the island of Patmos, John had a powerful encounter with the Risen Lord Jesus in His Glory.

Jesus is with us no matter what we are going through!

Revelation 5:1 – And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back sealed with seven seals.

The scroll contains the unfolding plans and destinies of God for the world.

The Lord has plans and purposes for our individual lives as well.

Jeremiah 29:11(NLT) – For I know the plans I have for you. Says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

GOD HAS A GOOD PLAN FOR MY LIFE!

Revelation 5:4 – So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.

Revelation 5:5(NLT) – But one of the twenty-four elders said to me, “Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne, has won the victory. He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.

Jesus Christ is the Lion of Judah and He is worthy to unfold our lives and lead us into our destiny.

How do we walk into the fullness of our destiny in 2019 and beyond?

LIVE A LIFE OF WORSHIP AND PRAISE

Judah was one of the twelve tribes of Israel. Judah means praise.

Judah encamped in front of the entrance to the tabernacle. Judah led Israel through the wilderness.

Praise and worship turn us to the Lord and enable us to follow Him into our destiny.

In the Presence of Jesus, we are anointed with boldness and authority like a Lion.

When John turns to see the Lion, instead he sees the Lamb of God, slain for us. Revelation 5:6

We are called to be bold as a lion and humble like a lamb by the grace of God.

LIVE A LIFE OF PRAYER AND OBEDIENCE

Revelation 5:8 – Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

In prayer, we can hear God’s voice and follow Him into our destiny.

The calling of every believer is to advance the Kingdom of God.

We advance the kingdom through prayer and walking in the authority of the believer.

We are kings and priests to our God! Revelation 5:10

LIVE IN THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST

John has a revelation of Jesus as the Lion of Judah and then as the Lamb of God.

Revelation 5:9 – And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood.

We can turn to Jesus and trust Him to do in us what we could never do ourselves.

We can open our lives to Jesus Christ and be changed!
