Word in my heart for the New Year: “THERE WILL BE MORE IN 2024!”

How do we walk into all that God has for us in 2024?

1. WALK INTO 2024 WITH MORE EXPECTATION

Luke 2:25 NKJV

And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

Simeon was waiting for the Messiah.

Luke 2:26

And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

He was living in expectation!

2. WALK INTO 2024 WITH MORE ANOINTING

Luke 2:27a

So he came by the Spirit into the temple.

He came into the temple at the very moment that Mary and Joseph entered with Jesus to dedicate Him to the Lord.

He was led by the Spirit! We want to be led by the Spirit in 2024.

Romans 8:14

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.

Simeon was a man of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit was upon him, Luke 2:25. The Holy Spirit led him, Luke 2:27. The Holy Spirit spoke to him. Luke 2:26

We want to be people of the Spirit. Surrendered to the Spirit, led by the Spirit, filled with the Spirit, and hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit.

3. WALK INTO 2024 WITH MORE PRAISE

Luke 2:28

Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, Saying,

Luke 2:29-32 NLT

Sovereign Lord, now let Your servant die in peace, as you have promised. I have seen Your salvation, which You have prepared for all people. He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and He is the glory of Your people Israel.

Simeon encountered Jesus the Messiah, and the result was PRAISE!

Praise and worship lead us into His Presence and praise and worship flow from His Presence.

Jesus is worthy to be praised even when we face challenging circumstances. Luke 2:34-35

4. WALK INTO 2024 WITH MORE PRAYER AND FASTING

Luke 2:36

Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of great age and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

What a powerful woman of God!

“There are some things the Lord has for us that will only be entered into through prayer and fasting.” – Derek Prince

Mark 9:29

So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.

The Holy Spirit is calling us to prayer and fasting in 2024!

We sense the Lord calling us into a Daniel Fast starting at sundown, Wednesday Jan. 10 until sundown, Wednesday, January 31.

Daniel 10:3 NKJV

I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

No Meat – No Sweet for 21 days for the Glory of God!
