MAKE ROOM

Matthew 5:3 (NLT)“God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for Him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.”

Matthew 5:3a (TPT)“…when you feel your spiritual poverty…”

John 15:5 (NKJV)“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

Revelation 3:17 (NLT)“You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.”

Revelation 3:20 (NLT)“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.”

1 Corinthians 6:19b-20 (NIV)“You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”

1. Make Room for Jesus

Make room for a deeper relationship with Him.

Exodus 3:1-2 (NLT)“One day Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up.”

Exodus 3:3-4 (NLT) “‘This is amazing,’ Moses said to himself. ‘Why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it.’ When the Lord saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush, ‘Moses! Moses!’ ‘Here I am!’ Moses replied.”

Acts 13:22 (NLT)“But God removed Saul and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said, ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after My own heart. He will do everything I want him to do.’”

Acts 13:22 (MSG)“He’s a man whose heart beats to My heart, a man who will do what I tell him.”

2. Make Room for People

Make room for Him by making room for His priority: people.

Luke 1:38 (NIV)“‘I am the Lord’s servant,’ Mary answered. ‘May your word to me be fulfilled.’ Then the angel left her.”

Making room is not about accomplishing our desires or agenda. It’s about surrendering to His!

Leviticus 26:10-11 (NLT)“You will have such a surplus of crops that you will need to clear out the old grain to make room for the new harvest! I will live among you, and I will not despise you. I will walk among you; I will be your God, and you will be My people.”

Luke 2:7“And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”
