THE BLOOD OF THE NEW COVENANT

Luke 22:20 – Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.”

Father God is a covenant making God, and He is a covenant keeping God.

Covenant – A solemn agreement based on solemn promises.

Genesis 15:6 – And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

Jeremiah 31:31 – Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

Luke 22:20 – This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.

What are some of the better promises and benefits of the New Covenant?

WE CAN BE FORGIVEN

Jeremiah 31:34 – For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.

Revelation 1:5 – To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood.

1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Are you continually remembering your own sins and the sins of others?

WE CAN BE HEALED AND SET FREE

Redeem – To set free

The Blood of the Lamb not only forgives us, but heals us and sets us free.

Psalm 103:3 – Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.

Jeremiah 31:34 – For I will forgive their iniquity.

Iniquity – crooked direction, evil bent within people

Isaiah 53:5 – He was bruised for our iniquities…

By His stripes we are healed, Jesus can deliver us from any bondage and from any generational iniquity!

WE CAN BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

1 Corinthians 6:19 – Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

Jeremiah 31:33 – I will put My law in their minds and write It on their hearts.

Ezekiel 36:26 – I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.

Ezekiel 36:27 – I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes.

Living in the new covenant is living in the power of the Holy Spirit!

WE CAN HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THE FATHER

Jeremiah 31:34 – No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying “Know the Lord,” for they shall all know Me from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord.

Hebrews 10:19 – Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus.

Hebrews 10:22 – Let us draw near!!!!

Father God is inviting us into His Presence!
