The Door
Finding Satisfaction in Life
John 10:1-10
John 10:10 – The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
“By describing the life He offers as “abundant,” Jesus says that He has come to provide for the needs of God’s people, to restore them to their place of service, and to escort them into the presence of God.” – Jonathan Hunztinger
Experience the satisfied life
Walk through the door to safety
Genesis 7:16(NLT) – A male and female of each kind entered, just as God had commanded Noah. Then the Lord closed the door behind them.
Walk through the door to His Presence
Exodus 26:31– “For the inside of the Tabernacle, make a special curtain of finely woven linen. Decorate it with blue, purple, and scarlet thread and with skillfully embroidered cherubim.”
Exodus 26:33 – “Hang the inner curtain from clasps, and put the Ark of the Covenant in the room behind it. This curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.”
Hebrews 10:19(MSG) – So, friends, we can now—without hesitation—walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body.
Jesus is saying walk through the door to meet the Father!
Psalm 118:19-21(NLT) – Open for me the gates where the righteous enter, and I will go in and thank the Lord. These gates lead to the presence of the Lord, and the godly enter there. I thank you for answering my prayer and giving me victory!
Psalm 16:11(NIV) – You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Walk through the door to fulfilled destiny
John 10:9(TPT) – I am the Gateway. To enter through me is to experience life, freedom, and satisfaction.
The only true satisfaction in life lies on the other side of walking through the open door of ministry.
1 Corinthians 16:9(TPT) – There’s an amazing door of opportunity standing wide open for me to minister here, even though there are many who oppose and stand against me.
1 John 4:4(TPT) – Little children, you can be certain that you belong to God and have conquered them, for the One who is living in you is far greater than the one who is in the world.
Revelation 3:7b-8 – “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens: ‘I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.’”
Revelation 3:20 – Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Revelation 4:1a – After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven,
Key verse to memorize:
John 10:9(TPT) – I am the Gateway. To enter through me is to experience life, freedom, and satisfaction.
